This popular event features a silent auction with outstanding artwork and other items to bid on, a lively live auction, sit-down dinner, open bar, and after party with DJ and plenty of dancing! All proceeds support LHUCA's mission to cultivate and celebrate all the arts by inspiring creativity and engaging with the community. Giving a gift of publicly traded stock is an extremely easy and excellent way to provide LHUCA a donation with true lasting value. Gifting stock that has increased in value and that you have owned for more than one year may provide greater tax benefits than a cash donation. Your charitable income tax deduction is equal to the fair market value of the stock, and you will avoid paying the capital gains tax on any increase in the current value over the original cost of the stock. Since you are transferring ownership rather than selling the stock, brokerage fees may also be avoided.

First Friday Art Trail (click link to FFAT page) – With an average 4,000 visitors each month, this free, self-guided public art happening has taken Lubbock to the forefront of the Texas art scene. Performances and exhibitions at LHUCA feature locally, regionally and nationally renowned artists, dancers, authors, and musicians.

Flatland Film Festival (click link to FFF page) – Now in its 20th year, the Flatland Film Festival has emerged as one of Lubbock’s most unique cultural offerings. This three-day event showcases Texas’ dynamic filmmaking culture by spotlighting local and regional filmmakers, directors, producers, and actors.
Gala – The LHUCA Gala celebrates the arts with a seated dinner, silent and live auctions, and the presentation of the Catalyst Award and the William D. Kerns Awards for Visual and Performing Arts.
