Class Description

This class will explore the signature style of Dyan Newton. She will share her techniques of painting with bright, vivid, luminous transparent watercolors. She will demonstrate and then allow the student to paint step-by-step following her, with individual instruction. This class is structured for either the beginner or the intermediate painter.

Instructor: Dyan Newton

Dyan has been painting for over 30 years, working in watercolors, pastels and oils. She studied with local and well-known artists throughout the years, enabling her to develop her own unique style. She uses bright, crisp, fresh colors to express her emotions giving her paintings energy. She takes pleasure in painting a variety of subjects, including landscapes, both architectural and scenic, portraits, animal subjects and floral still lifes. Her impressionistic style invites you to experience “happiness” while viewing her paintings.
