Is there an admission charge to the galleries?

No. All of the LHUCA galleries are free to the public during regular operating hours. Tuesday-Saturday 11am-5pm

How is LHUCA affiliated with the city?

LHUCA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization governed by a Board of Trustees. LHUCA is not affiliated with any department of the City and does not receive any direct funding from the City. LHUCA is eligible to apply for grants funding through the City of Lubbock Cultural Arts Grants program. Money granted from this program comes from hotel/motel room tax collected.

How is LHUCA associated with the Lubbock Arts Alliance?

LHUCA and the Lubbock Arts Alliance are two separate non-profit cultural organizations. The Lubbock Arts Alliance secured the Lubbock Cultural District designation from the State of Texas in 2009 in which LHUCA serves as the Cultural District's anchor on the northern end of downtown. Both entities support each other through promotions, sponsorships and recognition.

When is the First Friday Art Trail?

The First Friday Art Trail is an event held on the first Friday of every month in venues around the city. This event is free to the public. At each venue you can experience the sights, sounds and tastes of the First Friday Art Trail. We also provide trolley service to and from venues free of charge

First Friday Art Trail Hours are from 6pm-9pm

How do I display my work at the First Friday Art Trail?

Each venue on the First Friday Art Trail decides on it’s own exhibits. It is best to contact the venue where you would like to display your work.
