Youth Art Month
March 7–29 2014
Every year LISD is proud to display the talents of our young artists from throughout the school district by showing these young children and adults the value of their voice in art. As a district we like to promote the arts and have the students see the fruits of their labor in a couple of shows at both the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center of the Arts and The Garden and Arts Center. It provides a sense of pride and accomplishment for all students and instills a discipline of time management and creativity in the young adults. By giving these students this opportunity, which they otherwise would not have had, we show them that they too can be artistic and creative regardless of their own phobias of drawing or being creative/non creative. We are very thankful to both LHUCA and Garden and Arts for giving us this opportunity to display these works of art and appreciate everything they help us with.
