July 5th - August 31st, 2013
Helen DeVitt Jones Studio Gallery
I work with layers of color and texture, representational and abstract elements, and the processes of drawing and painting to “mine” spaces. My work is informed by the experience of time as emergence, decay and renewal. The origins of these works concern the synthesis of this cycle and its fusion with perception within the spaces of life itself. These spaces, interior and exterior, internal and external are fused with perception, a perspective of time as infinite and finite, memory and reality. It is the intersection of the conceptual and the concrete, as time and space fuse.
